Research and Development Centre, Nepal (RDC Nepal), a national Non-Profit Non-Governmental Organization of Nepal, was established in 2003 A.D. by a group of community development practitioners and human rights activists with an aim to contribute in the reconstruction and development of the country. The organization is registered at District Administration Office, Kathmandu, Nepal (Reg. No.379/2060/061) and affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu (Affiliation No.15534).
It is committed to improving the living standards of the rural and disadvantaged groups by bringing them to the mainstream of development through information, communication, training and partnership. It aims at transforming society having good social cohesion, gender equity and sustainable socioeconomic development. It emphasizes the empowerment of the marginalized women and youth through entrepreneurship development that will enhance them to take up the challenges of their own existence and ensuring self reliance; and therefore reduction of their vulnerability to many human and societal obstacles or challenges. Its main focus is on the creation of a strong, viable and pluralistic civil society.

To promote Balanced-Development and discourage the discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, region and income.
To build the capacity of the community people and other stakeholders to control and check corruption
To reduce poverty by providing the disadvantaged, marginalized and vulnerable groups of people with appropriate skills and livelihood options.
To enhance the capacity of people to ensure the realization of their economic, social, cultural, civil and political rights.
To promote culture of peace from local to national level.
To safeguard environment through the promotion of organic farming and familiarize people with global climatic change
To design and deliver specialized package of development services to ensure active participation, decision-making and benefit sharing by the deprived and disadvantaged groups
